Pre-Wedding, Pre-Ceremony, Reception

 Wedding  Sample Proofs

The ceremony was beautiful.  I had gone to the rehearsal where the bride had mapped out everything.  I met the wedding party and worked out details for the photographs.  What I hadn't expected was all the light streaming through the chapel windows.  It was lovely.

rmh_013 After months of planning, it was finally time.  Dad only looks somber, he is actually very moved. rmh_014 Not the end of her roll as a daughter but the addition of her new roles as wife and partner.
rmh_015 Two lives come together. rmh_016 Due to the length of the ceremony, I had time to shoot from different angles.  This is from the balcony.
rmh_017 And, this is a close up of the exchanging of rings. rmh_018 Meantime, in the stairwell, the little flower girl sleeps., and sleeps, and...
rmh_021 Finally! rmh_019 During the receiving line, which I do not generally photograph, I walked around some more.
rmh_020 The Matron of Honor and the Best Man. rmh_022 Four generations of women... (yes she finally woke up).
rmh_023 Three generations on the "guy" side of the brides family. rmh_024 The groom's family on his dad's side.
rmh_025 The groom's family with his mother. rmh_026 The Brides family.
rmh_027 rmh_028 Final poses outside the chapel, after which everyone was invited to leave for the reception while the bride and groom stayed for some more private photographs.
rmh_029 Remember the Nott Memorial?  We got the shot.  But, since I had the other photograph, I felt much less pressure. rmh_030 Across from the library was a hillside planting.  I stood on a ladder and shot down on the couple.  Yes, those flowers are real.
rmh_031 Behind the flowers was a walkway lined with columns.  Just couldn't pass it by. rmh_032 I think this says it all, don't you?
rmh_033 Not all "ring" shots need a bouquet. I liked the closeness of this portrait. rmh_034 A toast to each other and it is off to the reception.
