 Pre-WeddingWedding, Reception

Pre-Ceremony Sample Proofs

When I arrived, some of the wedding party were delayed.  As a result, some were dressed others were dressing and a few still needed make-up.  So, I set my camera down and helped where I could, especially with the make-up - since most of the wedding party never wore it.  Using light make-up to enhance features almost always make the final photograph more natural than if none were applied at all.

rmh_002 rmh_003 rmh_004 It was a very strong light in a fairly bare room, so I tried some shots without a flash  The result was a feeling of photographs that have aged over time.
rmh_004_a Here is a photograph of the bride in the hotel room where there wasn't any "good" spot.  When the picture is great but the background isn't, with digital imaging, I can extract the bride and place her in any environment. (Note the example with the purple background.) The bride could even supply the background. rmh_005
rmh_006 Another long view of the dress, the flowers and the bride looking somewhat subdued. rmh_007 Radiant!
rmh_008 The bride's niece is the only grandchild and adored by her aunt and everyone else in the family. rmh_009 Everybody is dressed and ready to go.  To celebrate, a toast seemed in perfect order.
rmh_010 Three generations of women. rmh_010_b This is a picture of the chapel. where the wedding will take place.
rmh_010_a The wedding was held on the Union College Campus and the Bride wanted pictures in front of the Nott Memorial. I took this just prior to the ceremony in case darkness descended before we had time.  If that happened, I would  take a picture of the couple in a lighted area and  digitally place the couple in front of it.
rmh_011 The bride arrived as I was checking out the grounds.  I turned and saw this moment. rmh_012 The niece is the flower girl.  She's been practicing for weeks.  Now, just before her big debut, she is fast asleep and no one could awaken her.
